Information Session: Quebec Climate Solutions Prize

Learn about the Climate Solutions Prize - Quebec Breakthrough Research Track and how you can apply to win!


The Quebec Climate Solutions Research Prize - Breakthrough Research Track will award $100,000 to Quebec's best and brightest not for profit researchers to support their development of cutting-edge approaches to address the climate crisis.


Submissions must be led by a not-for-profit research institutes and/or organizations and propose bold new ideas that focus on:


  • Reducing greenhouse gas emissions; 
  • Improving energy efficiency, renewable energy, and energy storage; 
  • Developing carbon capturing capacity naturally or artificially 
Winners will be selected based on criteria which can be found online, with a focus on whether the idea can be transformed into a marketable solution for global climate challenges.


Powered by JNF Canada, the Quebec Climate Solutions Prize is made possible through generous charitable donations from those who believe in supporting positive change here at home and around the world.


The Breakthrough Research Track is the largest climate-solutions incentive prize in Quebec and will be awarded at the Climate Solutions Festival in May of 2023, an incubator for showcasing innovative solutions, sharing best practices, and seeking investment in climate solutions.
